This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Oct 4th. Prices trending higher in the corn over the day, despite some poor weather conditions over the past 24 hours. Here's Scott Shellady with more from the floor of the CME in Chicago.

Shellady "Hi, this is Scott Shellady here in the CME group in floors in Chicago for the beginning of the week we can see corn higher here on the day here. I drove back from the family farm last night, our own family farm and I could tell with the weather we were getting, it was going to be disruptive. I would've expected to see more guys in the field, there were a few guys out there trying to "mud it out" but at the same time it caused things to kind of delay, that kind of cutting of the corn. When we see that kind of thing this time of year, it's kind of a bullish factor, yes and corn is higher on the fact that we've seen those kind of rains."
