Triangle Provides Additional Protection Against Common Form of Lepto

A common form of lepto known as hardjo-bovis (HB), is prevalent in 40 to 50 percent of cattle herds, often causing costly problems with cattle reproduction.

Boehringer-Ingelheim Brand Manager Matt Williams gives more details about Triangle 10 HB Vaccine which protections your herd against this form of lepto.

Williams: "Lepto is a serious issue among the cattle herds in the United States and there are certain seri-virus in a lepeto vaccine which is a particularly five-way lepto vaccine and one of the most common seri-virus circulating in the United States is the lepto hardjo-bovis. Now we have we are trying to obtain HB on label protection for leapt hardjo-bovis both urinary shedding and kidney colonization. So it is a vote of confidence for Triangle users that they are now going offered that added level of protection when it comes to leptospira protection in Triangle 10 HB."

The Clinical signs of HB are often mild and subtle, making them difficult to detect and can HB can impact conception rates leading delayed breeding. Williams continues

Williams: "It is very important use a vaccine especially a reproduction vaccine that can provide on label protection. It is important to have both urinary shedding protection so they are not going to shed the leptospria hardjo-bovis through their urine and also that their kidneys will be affected. We've done the scientific research to prove that we offer that protection with Triangle HB."
