If you're in the market for a tent, we have some information for you. Talked with Alex Garets about tents whether your interested in hunting in the spring, summer winter or fall. "There are different season tents, all season tents and three season tents, the major difference would be screens, how many windows they have and how big the rain fly is, if it's going to come all the way to the ground or if it's going to be half a rain fly and how many poles it is going to have. Is it going to be a big dome tent with just two polls. That is generally going to be a three season tent, 3 to 4 poles is a four season tent. You wouldn't want to camp a three season tent in the winter. Again you're going to have a lot more vents, less stability in a three season tent to the wind. Okay, what do you recommend. There is the Alps, the Keltys, we have the standard Coleman Sun Domes that are really popular. It is a standard tent and the Keltys are going to be a step above as far as quality of materials and poles. What about price? The Coleman's six man tent will be between $130 and $150 and the Kelty could run anywhere from $200 up to $400 depending on what type of model you were looking at but a six man tent would be about that price for a base model.
