Edgar about Blair

Last week, we did a story on Robert Blair who had a coming out party for is new business involving agricultural drones. His partner in this ambitious venture is Steve Edgar and he talks about Robert. “We are partnered in working and developing unmanned aircraft systems and technology in agriculture with Empire Aerospace in Hayden, Idaho and with Blair Farms in Kendrick, Idaho. Robert Blair has been involved in unmanned aircraft systems development for agriculture for five or six years. He has a farm in Kendrick that has been in the family for over 100 years. Like any good research engineer, if you’re going to build a good truck, you go to a truck driver to get direction. We recognized we did not have the agricultural experience necessary to produce the product that a farmer would really want without having a farmer embedded in the process. Robert became deeply involved with us guide us in the product development of what a farmer needs in terms of what we can provide with an unmanned aerial vehicle.”
