Wolf Trax Micronutrients Part 2

Wolf Trax Micronutrients Part 2. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Line On Agriculture.

Last week we began a conversation with Geoffry Gyles, President and co-founder of Wolf Trax an innovative micronutrient company. Wolf Trax DDP or dry, dispersible powder technology allows micronutrients to completely coat fertilizers or seeds for a more even coverage in the field. Gyles says there is a cost savings with Wolf Trax products.

GYLES: Because our product is much more effective and spreads more evenly across the field and get into the plants more effectively the farmers have the ability to use less actual, total amount of product and they get more value and more nutrients to the plant than typical old technology that they might have been using in the past.

Better coverage of course means a better potential for maximizing plant health. Even Wolf Trax packaging is smaller and easier to handle and store. Gyles talks about their latest product called Protinus™.

GYLES: Well me have an exciting seed nutrition product called Protinus™. What Protinus™ does is it gets key micronutrient products on top of the seed and into the plant early and that results in a much larger plant and that larger plant is able to withstand stresses much better than untreated plants.

The name Wolf Trax might be a new one to you but it’s not an overnight sensation.

GYLES: We started selling the DDP product line in 2002 primarily in the midwestern United States, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois on corn where there’s a zinc deficiencies and because so many people use zinc on corn our product had a great fit and the farmers and retailers in that area latched on to the products and have used it in large numbers and have been satisfied and happy

And they do something that not many other companies will do.

GYLES: Of course we guarantee our product. Because our product is tested thoroughly over several different types of crops we have the ability to guarantee the performance of our product so if a farmer or a grower has used our product to correct a deficiency and he finds that it hasn’t fixed his deficiency, we’ll come in a make sure his deficiency is fixed so that he gets a good crop off. And we’re comfortable about guaranteeing the performance of our product because we know it works.
