Fertilizers help plants grow and get the nutrients they need. Well, sort of. Depending on your particular needs you may not be adequately providing the micronutrients needed for maximum potential. Geoffrey Gyles is the President of Wolf Trax who have developed a better way of delivering these micronutrients.

GYLES: Wolf Trax is a micronutrient company based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We’re a company that focuses and specializes on micronutrient products, plant health products and we key in on our DDP and micronutrient products which are unique, innovative and different from anything else that’s been on the market before.

The key to Wolf Trax success is what they call DDP.

GYLES: DDP stands for dry, dispersible powder and it’s so important because it provides the farmer a product that is much more efficient. It gets into the plant earlier. It stays longer in a dual action function and is available early and late but also is much more efficient and brings to the farmer good value for the money that he spends on micronutrients.

Instead of adding large pellets of micronutrients the DDP process allows Wolf Trax micronutrients to completely cover your fertilizer for much greater coverage in your field. It also uses less material so you have lower costs.

GYLES: Our DDP micronutrient products are different from other products that are available on the market. They are different in a number of different ways. The way they can be used as fertilizer products. They have the ability to coat dry, over the top of both fertilizer and seed. And they can also be used as a foliar spray application or mixed in with liquid fertilizer.

Gyles says they can help figure out what your soil needs for maximizing your plants growth.

GYLES: If a farmer is taking either a soil test or a tissue test and seeing he’s short on micronutrients he can work with his local retailer or local agronomist and we can help them help that farmer figure out a way to use our very efficient micronutrient products.
