The Idaho beef Council and the Idaho Steelheads have announced a partnership to honor military men and women in Idaho. During 5 designated Steelhead game this season, military heroes will be recognized who represent courage, dedication, and teamwork. Traci O’Donnell, who is the Executive Director of the Idaho Beef Council told me the following: “many Idahoans have served in the Armed Forces. This is the Idaho beef Council’s way along with the Idaho Steelheads of recognizing the importance of our military and those people who have sacrificed for us.” During 5 specific Steelhead games, military heroes will receive a public address pregame, on ice recognition for his or her accomplishments. The military hero will get to go down on the ice with the players and drop the ceremonial 1st puck. They will also receive an authentic steelheads jersey and Gold Club tickets for the game. One of the best defenseman ever to wear a Steelheads jersey had these words to say: “I am Troy Edwards and the Idaho Beef Council and the Steelheads want to recognize the courage and valor of the US military.” A wonderful promotion for a great cause. You can participate on January 7, February 11, March 3 and March 31.
