Don't miss what may be the best Potato Expo ever!

Farm and Ranch Report November 23, 2011 Coming up January 4th through the 6th in Orlando, Florida is Potato Expo 2012. It will be the fourth installment of the Expo which is the largest conference and tradeshow for the potato industry held in North America. With the networking opportunities, the latest products and services, David Fraser Vice President Industry Communications & Policy for the U.S. Potato Board says Potato Expo has become the industry’s annual marquee event.

Fraser: “The Board remains a co-title sponsor of Potato Expo and is very proud to be in that role and very, very supportive and actually very, very proud to see how Expo has grown over just a few short years and turn into the event it is. But we will have as we have since the beginning, have a large exhibit on the trade show floor. Our staff is very, very involved in all the breakout sessions, the general sessions. Actually we sponsor the general sessions which this year will be Jeb Bush, keynote for lunch on Thursday of the Expo.”

Potato Expo has grown from 911 attendees in 2009 to an expected 18-hundred this year. And there are only about 25-hundred potato growers in the U.S.

Fraser: “With suppliers and extension folks and all the allied industry come to the event. That is a good attendance. I would say it represents a very, very large part of the total industry.”

Fraser recommends you register now because this is the event people will be talking about for the following six months. Just go to potato-expo.com where you can still get a discount.
