New regional director for Bureau of Reclamation

Washington Ag Today October 25, 2011 Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Michael L. Connor has announced that Lorri Gray-Lee will succeed Karl Wirkus as director of the Bureau’s Pacific Northwest Region when he retires at the end of December. Gray-Lee has more than 28 years of federal service, all with Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Region.

Public hearings are coming up this week on the Department of Labor and Industries proposed worker’s comp rate hike for 2012. Among the hearings is one in Bellingham October 26th at the L&I office at one p.m. A hearing will be held in Richland on October 27th at the Red Lion Hotel Richland Hanford House at one p.m. And then on October 28th is a ten a.m. hearing in Spokane Valley at Spokane CenterPlace Event Center.
