I caught up with Vaughn Wilson artist and author of the award winning book that includes a forward by Nolan Ryan titled Tell Me About that Horse at his farm in Mississippi and asked Vaughn with those five words have meant to his life.

“I was one of those people who have been fortunate to have spent the majority of my life in the company of horses and looking back over the horses I’ve had through the years there has always been one special horse that kind of leaps out at you and it’s not always your most famous or most valuable but one that tugs at your heart strings so that’s what I wanted to ask the people that were involve with horses if they had a special horse that really meant something to them there again not there most famous horse necessarily but it could be as in the case with Roy Rogers junior who talked about growing up with Trigger but Clint Haverity who is a hall of fame NRHA trainer wanted to talk about his little Shetland pony he had growing up in Arizona.
