In the wake of  Food Inc. a movie that demonizes farmers and ranchers…. that Vanity Reviews called a “ a civilized horror movie for the socially unconscious”…oops.. I meant conscious …. comes, I am Angus.  Well, I am Susan Allen,  this is todays  American Rancher. Stay tuned for a movie review. “Uber”  activists Eric Schlosser and Michael Pollan painted corn as the  vegetable villain and large scale farmers as the Joker in their latest film, Food Inc. One reviewer said the “dynamic duo” turned meat production into a “sadistic exercise in animal torture” …problem is, not many folks tortured themselves to sit  through 90 dismal  minutes of bleeding heart liberalism. Yet millions of Americans though will view  I am Angus, this weekend throughout the United States on both television and satellite. More than 150 TV stations are slated to air I Am Angus a documentary that tells the personal stories of cattle producers and others affiliated with the Angus cattle breed  across the nation. Angus is  the worlds largest cattle breed registry that provides programs and services to nearly thirty three thousand members and thousands of cattle producers throughout the United states. Here in  the Northwest you can tune the series on one of my favorite channels …RFD -TV. Early reviews of the documentary say that it is beautifully filmed with incredible ranching footage…so don’t expect coverage or reviews from the New York Times, Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair there is not any gore or dishonesty for the socially unconscious.
