Update on the National Western Center

With an update with the National Western Center, Colorado Cattlemen's Association

Executive Vice President Terry Fankhauser says in addition to acquiring the land to complete the center's 270-acre site

Fankhauser: "Now they are reaching out nationally — much the way we engaged with the National Western — to see if there are other agribusinesses, trade organizations as such that would want to engage with the National Western similar to what we have done. We're going to work closely with them and develop that engagement and outreach and have those conversations. because not only will the CSU have a tremendous presence and the National Western will have a significant presence. But we also want the organizations that work with these entities — be it breed associations, specific trade groups, international trading organizations or what have you — to have a presence there too. Really be a one stop shop in the West for agriculture and specifically for the beef industry."

Last fall, CCA announced that they would be moving to the center in the future. The synergy of having many elements of the ag industry in one convenient location, would prove a boon to any interested businesses or organizations looking to move their location. Fankhauser continues

Fankhauser: "We've encourage them to give us a ring and chat if they even are remotely interested in exploring the opportunity. I don't think you will find a location the United States that will have what this facility will offer."
