Jack Scoville:“The demand remains an issue for all three markets. Corn, wheat and soybeans facing some headwind not only from the stronger dollar but strong competition from places like Europe and South America. The Chinese import data was released before the opening of the session and showed a very strong demand for corn and a strong demand for soy beans.”
Chicago September Wheat ended Tuesday down 8 at 5-24
September corn closed the day at up 1 1/2 at 406- 3/4
Portland prices for soft white wheat August new crop 10 ½ percent ranging 6.49 ¾-6.69 ¾ down 8 cents
White Club wheat of 10.5 % protein mostly 6.56 3/4, down 8 to 9 cents.
August New crop Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein ranging 5.73 -5.98 down 7 1/2 to up 2 1/2
DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices for August new crop ranging 6.46 ½ to 6.71 1/2 down 2 1/2
August live cattle were down 1.52 1/2 at 145.22 1/2
August Feeder cattle were down $3.20 at 213.12 1/2
August class III milk was up 44 cents at 16.28
