Dairy Campaign Will Bust Consumer Myths
As in any ag commodity, consumer confidence in dairy is critical to the success and future of the industry. However, there have been too many voices through the years that have damaged the good reputation of dairy farmers and dairy products to advance their own agendas. Dairy Management Inc. is launching today “The Udder Truth,” a series of videos and content designed to set the record straight and address common consumer myth. Mollie Waller, Chief Communications Officer for Dairy Management Inc, explains more the approach this campaign is takingWaller: “One important thing I tell farmers is — we are not the target audience for these videos. We’re edgy than we have done in the past and we’re using a tone and video images and other things that real connect to the Millennial audience. We do it to break through gate and get their interest because once you get their interest you can have a conversation with them. So while some people may feel this is outside a comfort zone, we wholeheartedly believe and know that we are taking a big step in reclaiming dairy’s voice and build that trust and advocy that we know exists among most consumers. So we want to target that moveable middle and help draw them back in to the great things that dairy is.”
