Every Month the folks at the Colorado Department of Agriculture highlight a state grown or produced food as part of their Colorado Proud Program.
This month as we celebrate the change of seasons and St. Patrick’s Day, the featured items are cabbage and Colorado Ale .
The recipe for Braised Cabbage includes red and green cabbage, apples and bacon. Hard to go wrong with those ingredients.
The recipe comes from Chef Jason Morse and you can find it at www.Coloradoproud.org.
March is also the month for Ag Day at the State Capitol on that’s on the 22nd where producers and chefs pair up to showcase the best of Colorado. Wendy says that’s probably the best day of the year at the Capitol with a beautiful feast for everyone who comes.
