CCA Committee Planning Meetings to be Held August 29th

The Colorado Cattlemen's Association is actively engaged in strategic planning as they move into their 150th anniversary year in 2017. On August 29th, at the Colorado State Fair, the CCA will hold their annual Committee Planning. The committee meetings will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m in the Colorado building on the state fairgrounds and members are encouraged to attend.

CCA Executive Vice President Terry Fankhauser gives more details

Fankhauser: "We go through an annual planning process with our committees to really take a close look at the issues that are moving through those 11 committees' jurisdiction — be it water, marketing and along those lines and determine what their goals for the year and what processes they believe that we should utilize to engage on those goals. So as we continue to retool — to some extent — the organization for an evolving beef industry; we're going ask those committees to take a hard look at the tactics, and the approaches and the goals that they have in place. Making sure that they are 1) Achievable and 2) It really may be a more non-traditional approach to achieve those goals. Obviously moving out of one presidential election cycle into another we know that there is a lot of networking, communication, outreach that needs to be done and it has to be part of the committee's strategy if its national policy."
