Since late in 2022, CDFA and the Board have been in a process to define regenerative agricultural for state policies and programs. The work began with consideration by CDFA’s Environmental Farming Act Science Advisory Panel and has included the establishment of a work group to develop a recommendation to the Board. CDFA has also hosted a series of public listening sessions, conducted tribal outreach and has collected public comment from individuals and organizations
