Corey and little girl
I'm so thankful that I live where I live in the country and I have some land. We have horses and cows and now the kids are involved in riding. That teaches them responsibility. One of our close cousins, a little girl, she started coming over and helping with the horses. And they've got horses. And they work cattle, too. She can ride well. Cutting horses are totally different. That's a different breed of horse and ride them different. You train different. She was helping Corey with the horses because he was needing someone to load the horses because he was riding 6 to 8 horses over afternoon when he got in from work. He had to have someone to help him saddle and help him ride, warm up the horses. I think she's a junior this year. I was there one afternoon, said Corey, Get her on one of the old horses there and let her ride a little bit and show her how to ride that flag. We have a mechanical flag that we train our horses on, got down there and let the horse work the flag. And she was riding his horse and her eyes was big. She was as happy as a fat kid in a candy store. I told Corey, You started something, you know that? And I said, Baby, how'd you like this? She said, This is something else. She said, I'll love it. Then the high school come around. She started competing in high school. Well, I just got a text and a Facebook post that she won the high school finals this year and cutting and won her saddle.
