Longtime friend and tennis partner sometimes, tennis opponent other times, Bill AGLER, loves to hunt. Big game, water fowl, in fact he is a member of a duck club in Idaho where duck habitat is carefully maintained. Anyway, this year BILL wanted to go big game hunting in the worst way. You all know what the drill is when putting in for big game tags. It's a crapshoot. Turns out, BILL must be one of the luckiest guys around.

Speaker2: I'm 75 years old and this was the best big game hunting season I've had in my life. When you hunt in multiple states, you have to put in four tags and draw on a kind of a lottery system. And I always put in four more tags than I really can use, assuming that I won't get it. So I put in for multiple tags. Turns out I got tagged for a mule deer in Montana and I'd already lined up a outfitter on that. And then I lined up a mule deer in Wyoming and I lined up an outfitter for that. And then, you know, just give it a shot to try to get a moose in Idaho. Pretty long shot, but darned if I didn't get a moose tag in Idaho. And I called an outfitter that I previously knew. And he said, Sure, come on up, we can do it. So I ended up with three hunts where usually I just do one or two. Speaker1: And we'll tell you about the results of each hunt in upcoming episodes.
