Yesterday we heard BRIAN OAKLAND’s story about how he ran into a guy quite by happenstance and they started chatting. BRIAN builds custom AR rifles and the guy he was talking with has a business in which he takes people up in his helicopter to hunt predators. Well this is something that BRIAN had always wanted to do so he traded out a couple of his rifles for the opportunity to hunt from the helicopter. BRIAN said he would bring along one of his AR rifles and the helicopter guy suggested shotguns instead. We pick it up from there.

Well, what's funny about it was they always use shotguns when they go coyote hunting. And I said, well, obviously, I'm bringing. What do you think about that? He said, Well, it's going to be really hard for you to hit him with a rifle, but we'll bring the shotguns. We can actually kill a few as well. I said I bring it, but we're not going to need it. We laughed about it. We jumped in the helicopter. And yes, it is more difficult than I thought. And I like Hog hunting where they run in a straight line. They are like a giant jackrabbit, right, left and ducking and dodging. And there's a lot of sagebrush and things for them to kind of dance around, leaning out of the helicopter, you know, that's moving 60 miles an hour through the air. It was a little bit intimidating at first, but then I got it down. We ended up flying along. You'd see one kind of on the hillside. They were always up on the hillside where cattle were feeding, calving. They'd wait for calves to appear and then they'd go chase the cows off and kill the calves. Speaker1: We'll find out if Brian was successful tomorrow.
