Yesterday we heard that Ted Koch was hunting for moose and spotted a cow, a calf, a spike bull and a massive full grown bull traveling together in thick trees and brush. He got himself ready.

Speaker1: Continuing a moose hunt, David Sparks Sportsman's Spotlight Yesterday, we heard the Ted Cook was hunting for moose and spotted a cow, a calf, a spike bull and a massive full grown bull traveling together in thick trees and brush. They disappeared into some aspens and willows, and….I’m looking and looking and Bam, 30 yards away. I see the spike bull and I'm like, Oh man, this is great. You know, the other animals are probably in with it, but that spike bull is fine with me. So I back up a couple of yards, put my back against the big Aspen tree. I had about a 20 yard opening in front of me and I get this fiberglass cone out of my pack, which is what you used to call. You just use your voice. Bull Moose call. It just sounds like, grunt, grunt but you do that into this fiberglass cone, and it sounds great. Also, you can rake the fiberglass cone on the branches, and it sounds like a moose paddle. So I grab out my cone and I rake the willows. I put it down. I put my fingers on the string and my recurve bow, and I look around and nothing, and I kind of move in my head and look, and I catch a glimpse of that spike bull again 30 yards away. He hasn't moved a muscle, so two minutes goes by and I'm thinking, I don't know. So I pick up my cone again. I scrape it on the willows and then I grunt twice and I scrape it on the willows again. I put it down stand up my fingers on the string of my bow and I look, and bam, here comes this spike bull right at me and I'm thinking, Well, this is great. I'd really love to get a poke at that big bull I saw earlier. But you know, this is what it's going to be. That's fine. So that Spike Bull comes in 20 yards away, disappears behind some thick willows. Next thing I know, I see movement about 20 yards away coming towards me. It's the big bull. What's next? Find out tomorrow.
