This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Cattle markets have now seen 10 red days in a row, even with lower feed prices. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day dn 10 ¼, to finish at 7-09 ½. Dec. Corn was dn ½, to close at 5-10 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 12 ¾, to settle at 7-04 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-85 to 13-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. were Unch, ranging from 10-85 to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were dn 12 ¾, ranging from 8-54 ¾ to 8-79 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were dn 13 ¾, ranging from 10-29 ½ to 10-39 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $.65, closing at 123.10. Oct. Feeder cattle were dn $.77 ½, to finish the day at 159.27 ½. Oct. Class III milk was up $.15 to settle at 17.60.
