This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle continue to find resistance in the market despite lower feed prices. Let’s go to Greg Sanders with the USDA to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 9 ¼, to finish at 7-26 ¼. Dec. Corn was dn 1 ½, to close at 5-24. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 14, to settle at 7-23.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-85 to 13-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. were up 21 to Unch, ranging from 10-85 to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were Up 29 to 14, ranging from 8-73 to 8-98. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were up 13, ranging from 10-47 ½ to 10-57 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $1.25, closing at 124.80. Sept. Feeder cattle were dn $2.57 ½, to finish the day at 162.47 ½. Oct. Class III milk was up $.04 to settle at 16.85.
