This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle found resistance as markets came to a close last week, even with lower feed prices. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day dn 6 ¾, to finish at 7-32 ½. Dec. Corn was up 3, to close at 5-53 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 4 ¼, to settle at 7-24.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch to Up 65, ranging from 10-70 to 13-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. were up 02 to 20, ranging from 10-52 ¾ to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were dn 4 ¼, ranging from 8-59 to 9-04. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were up 6 ¼, ranging from 10-52 ¾ to 10-62 ¾.

Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $.47 ½, closing at 129.12 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $.15, to finish the day at 168.42 ½. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.32, to settle at 16.75.
