This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Grains surge yesterday however, with little to no moisture in the forecast many crops will continue to suffer as dry conditions continue. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 25 ¾, to finish at 7-29 ½. Dec. Corn was up 14, to close at 5-59 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 30 ¼, to settle at 7-03 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 5 to Unch, ranging from 9-05 to 10-20. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Sept. was Unch, ranging from 8-85 to 8-95. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Sept. were up 30 ¼, ranging from 8-08 ½ to 8-68 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were up 18, ranging from 10-27 ¾ to 10-52 ¾.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.07 ½, closing at 127.27 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $.17 ½, to finish the day at 161.97 ½. Sept. Class III milk was up $.10, to settle at 16.36.
