This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Cash trade stabilizes as cattle find strength in the market, pushing their way higher through the week. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 10 ¼, to finish at 710 ¾. Dec. Corn was up 2 ¾, to close at 568 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 8 ½, to settle at 668 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 8-00 to 8-90. Soft white wheat with Ordinary Protein for Aug. was Unch, ranging from 7-70 to 8-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Aug. were up 8 ½, ranging from 7-78 ¾ to 8-03 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were dn 18 ¾, ranging from 9-97 ¾ to 10-12 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were up $.55, closing at 125.25. Aug Feeder cattle were up $1.25, to finish the day at 156.77 ½. Aug. Class III milk was dn $.19, to settle at 16.10.
