This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Grains saw a mixed market yesterday, as farmers across the west continue to adapt to grueling drought conditions. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 17 ¾, to finish at 672. Dec. Corn was dn 2 ½, to close at 556 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 12 ½, to settle at 640 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch - dn 40, ranging from 8-00 to 8-50. Soft white wheat with Ordinary Protein for Sept. was Unch, ranging from 7-70 to 8-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Sept. were up 12 ½, ranging from 7-50 ¼ to 7-75 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were up 21 ¼, ranging from 9-94 to 10-09.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $.12 ½, closing at 121.12 ½. Aug Feeder cattle were up $.42 ½, to finish the day at 157.37 ½. Aug. Class III milk was dn $.75, to settle at 16.98.
