This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Weather continues to be a key factor as the grain markets battle warmer and drier crop conditions than usual. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day dn 7, to finish at 633 ¾. Dec. Corn was up 7 ¾, to close at 540 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 3 ¾, to settle at 611 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was up 25 - Unch, ranging from 8-00 to 8-90. Soft white wheat with Ordinary Protein for Aug. was Unch, ranging from 7-70 to 8-40. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Aug. were dn 3 ½, ranging from 7-11 ¾ to 7-46 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were up 4 ½, ranging from 9-56 ¾ to 9-76 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were up $1.92 ½, closing at 121.75. Aug Feeder cattle were up $.67 ½, to finish the day at 158.82 ½. Aug. Class III milk was up $.23, to settle at 18.08.
