This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Spring Wheat see’s decline in ratings as poor crop conditions and unruly weather continues to be a factor. Let’s go to Joe Vaclavik’s Podcast “Grain Markets & Other Stuff” to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day dn 3 ¾, to finish at 622 ¼. Dec. Corn was dn 8 ¾, to close at 531. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up ¾, to settle at 584 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was dn 75 to Unch, ranging from 7-75 to 8-90. Soft white wheat with Ordinary Protein for Aug. was Unch – Dn 10, ranging from 7-70 to 8-40. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Aug. was up 1-6, ranging from 6-84 ½ to 7-19 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were up 19 ¼ - 29 ¼, ranging from 9-03 to 9-23.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $1.80, closing at 120.42 ½. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $1.62 ½, to finish the day at 159.07 ½. Aug. Class III milk was up $.33, to settle at 16.92.
