Grains Consolidate

This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Markets were closed yesterday due to the 4th of July, so let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear the recap.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day dn 12 ¾, to finish at 652 ¾. Dec. Corn was dn 9 ¼, to close at 579 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 19, to settle at 619 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 8-50 to 8-90. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Aug. was dn 12 ¾, to settle at 6-52 ¾. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for July were dn 19, to close at 6-19 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were dn 2, finish the week at 8-38 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $1.57 ½, closing at 122.00. Aug Feeder cattle were up $.72 ½, to finish the day at 157.05. Aug. Class III milk was dn $.13, to settle at 16.71.
