It’s time for your Farm of the Future Report. I’m Tim Hammerich.

In a lot of ways, farming is a game of timing. The right information won’t help you if it can’t be processed, presented and acted upon in real time. That real-time agronomic information is what the team and Solinftec are providing to retailers and applicators of ag inputs. Chief operating officer Daniel Padrao says they’ve teamed up with IBM to incorporate their climate-based insights into the platform.

Padrao… “Instead of having one platform that you can look for weather. Now, the other one for weather forecast, the other one for the process and the other one for the seed and chemical, why not have everything in one place? And when you look for what's happening, you can see and we can provide you guidance.”

Padrao says they are incorporating the IBM weather forecasts and real-time information to help retailers and farmers make the most of the inputs they are applying.

Padrao… “Putting all this information together we can help them to be more efficient and after being more efficient, after creating more hours, why not use the hours that we are creating to cover more ground, but even to get that place at the right time. To apply that chemical at the right condition. So that is how the solution is working here and what we have available for retailers and co-ops in the U.S.”
