Corn Continues Roller Coaster Ride

This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Corn continues its roller coaster ride, with prices swinging 50 cents in just 50 hours to finish the day up 1% higher. Let’s go to Scott Shellady with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 2, to finish at 633 ½. March Corn was up 6 ½ to close at 541. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were dn 3, to settle at 611.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 7-30 to 7-55. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for April was Unch, ranging from 7-10 to 7-45. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for April were dn 3, ranging from 7-42 to 7-62. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April was dn 3, ranging from 7-37 to 7-55.

Live Cattle for April were up $.42 ½, closing at 123.12 ½. March Feeder cattle were dn $.35, to finish the day at 139.15. April Class III milk was up $.75, at 17.54.
