This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. US dollar weaker once again, opening the door to more buying in the wheat and corn markets driving prices higher. Let’s go to Joe Vaclavik’s podcast “Grain Markets and Other Stuff” to hear his take on today’s grain market.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day up 10 ¼, to finish at 608 ¾. March. Corn up 5 ¼, to close at 432 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were up 8 ½, to settle at 570.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat was Unch, ranging from 6-40 to 6-75. Portland Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for March were up 8 ½, ranging from 7-15 to 7-35. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March was Unch, ranging from 6-50 to 6-70. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were up 8 ¼, ranging from 6-92 to 7-02.

Live Cattle for Feb. were up $.67 ½, closing at 114.45. March Feeder cattle were up $.62 ½, to finish the day at 142.60. Feb. Class III milk was dn $.67, at 16.63.
