This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Cattle firm up as optimism and demand continue to grow. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 2 ¾, to finish at 559 ¾. Dec. Corn up 4 ¼, to close at 405 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were up 2 ¾, to settle at 559 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-00 to 6-25. Portland Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for Jan. were up 3 ¾, ranging from 7-11 to 7-16. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Dec. ended the day Unch, ranging from 5-94 to 6-00. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were up 5 ¾, ranging from 6-96 to 7-06.

Live Cattle for Dec. were up $.05, closing at 107.87 ½. Jan. Feeder cattle were up $1.97 ½, to finish the day at 135.15. Nov. Class III milk was dn $.09, at 23.77.
