This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Corn continues to gradually lose ground, while beef takes advantage of lower feed prices. Let’s go to Scott Shellady with the CME Group as he shares more.

Chicago Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day dn 5, to finish at 603 ¾. Dec. Corn dn 3, to close at 398 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were dn 1 ¼, to settle at 542.

Portland prices for Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-00 to 6-20. Portland Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for Jan. were dn 1, ranging from 6-94 to 6-99. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Jan. ended the day Unch, ranging from 5-90 to 6-10. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were dn ½, ranging from 6-84 ¼ to 6-99 ¼.

Live Cattle for Dec. were up $3.30, closing at 107.97 ½. Jan. Feeder cattle were up $1.40, to finish the day at 131.35. Nov. Class III milk was up $.35, at 22.28.
