Idaho Invests In Rural Broadband

Idahoans will have access to high-speed Internet for the first time thanks to Idaho's use of CARES Act funds to invest in rural broadband infrastructure.

The Idaho Broadband Grant Review Committee and Idaho Commerce awarded 102 projects $48.9 million in funding to public organizations to purchase broadband infrastructure, equipment and services.

The grant program provides funding resources for broadband infrastructure investment and associated equipment for underserved households, public safety organizations, local governments, and medical clinics and hospital facilities.

Many of Idaho's rural communities will now have better connectivity and access to high-speed internet for the very first time.
