The Department of Agriculture is making available up to $1 billion in loan guarantees to help rural businesses meet their working capital needs during the coronavirus pandemic.

Mark Brodziski with Rural Business-Cooperative Service, says the CARES Act financial aid program should interest ag producers for lots of reasons.

This program offers loan guarantees to lenders for their loans to rural businesses and agricultural producers to supplement their working capital to prevent, prepare for and respond to the economic impacts of the coronavirus.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 15, 2021, or until funds made available for this purpose are expended.
