This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. We’re looking at 3-year lows in the Corn market, as grains follow trend across the board moving lower. Scott Shellady with the CME Group explains more.

Shellady “We’re looking at 3 ½ year contract lows, in the corn at that 3-20 level. If you want to be a bull and kind of look up and see where we can take this market, your going to have go to those moving averages. The first one is the 50 day, and that’s right now at 338 ¾.”

Chicago Wheat prices for Sept. closed yesterday dn 9 ½, to finish the day at 501 ¼.

Dec. Corn was up ½, wrap up the day at 323 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 9 ¼ to finish the day at 429 ¼.

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Sep. ended the day Unch, ranging from 5-60 to 5-64. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, prices for Sept. were dn 9 ¼, ranging from 5-57 ¼

to 5-67 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were dn 5 ½, ranging from 5-91 to 6-08.

Live Cattle for Oct. were down $.47 ½, closing at 106.97 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle dn $.60, to settle at 145.87 ½. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.09, at 16.91.
