Dr. Mike Roussell is known for transforming complex nutritional concepts into practical nutritional habits that his clients can use to ensure permanent weight loss and long lasting good health. He also works with the American Pistachio Growers Association, and he's been quite busy promoting pistachios during the last six months.

“One of the first things we did was a satellite media tour, but I actually did it here from my home,” said Roussell, who lives in a suburb of Rochester, New York.

“I did over 20 TV interviews and a handful of radio interviews from both regional and national media outlets. Specifically, we were focusing on this new research showing how pistachios are a complete protein, what that means for people who live active lifestyles and also people looking for more plant based protein sources. Now, during these interviews, of course, I also hit on what I would consider a pistachio's greatest hits, how they're great for your heart, how they help control blood sugar, they help with weight loss, and it's just the best snack you can think about ever snacking on.

So one of the other things APG we did was MAT release, which is a massive release of one article that goes out to a variety of different media outlets. “One of the media outlets that picked us up was SFGate in San Francisco, which is great because it's one of the most highly trafficked websites on the internet. So for us to have a content piece there about how pistachios are complete protein is a huge win,” said Roussell.

They also did successful partnerships with Men's Health, Women's Health and many fitness magazines to promote pistachios on their websites.
