Virus Hops

Veterinarian Dr. Lucas Pantaleon mentioned in a previous conversation that the source of COVID-19 was probably some type of animal that then jumped to humans. I had a question for him. How often do viruses species hop? More often than what you think? And this is something that happens. And especially viruses like COVID-19, which is a coronavirus and also the flu virus. These are viruses that because of their genetic structure, they're able to jump from one species to another. And then sometimes you have the right mix of conditions by which the virus can adapt to that new species and thrive. It happens. Thoughts on prevention? It is very important and I think everybody needs to understand, and there is more and more evidence that wearing face masks helps prevent the spread of this virus. And if we all do our part, if we all wear masks along with good hygiene and social distance, we can do a lot in order to limit and prevent this disease from growing even bigger.

Would you pick up the phone and call Trump? I don't know if he'll answer my call.

Yeah, if he doesn't listen to Dr. Fouche, he probably won't listen to Dr. Pantaleon. But hopefully you folks will follow the advice.
