Again, it's going virtual. Sit down in front of your computer and watch and participate this year.

It's going to happen during the week of December 7th, 2020, with events for growers handlers and industry partners running throughout the week. The agenda will also include educational sessions, social gatherings, and an exhibit hall and poster sessions, as in the past.

The virtual setting will also present new opportunities for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors, including the flexibility to participate in an educational session in the morning, work in the orchard in the afternoon and attend networking events throughout the day.

Holly King is a Kern County almond grower and chair of the Almond Board.

We started looking at, could we do this virtually and other conferences have done quite well virtually and some in fact have higher attendance because it makes it more accessible for people.

According to Richard Waycott the president and CEO of the Almond Board, “Shifting to a virtual conference was the only viable option at this time,” he said. “Given the current uncertainty caused by the global pandemic, going virtual will ensure that we're able to gather with our friends and colleagues from around the world and have a truly global event,” noted Waycott.

Mark your calendars for the week of December 7th, the conference offerings will be held Tuesday through Thursday, December 8th, through the 10th.
