When you talk about avid, you talk about turkey hunters. They absolutely love their sport. And chief editor of Outdoor Life, Alex Robinson talks about some slick new gear for turkey hunters. David Sparks, sportsman spotlight, turkey hunters love gear.

We've got some recommendations. The two items of gear out of here that I've actually been able to see and use myself, which I like to use product before I talk about it or at least see it get in my hands. It’s this Primo's photo form hen decoy which is pretty cool. They took an actual photograph of a hen and they printed it on a decoy. It's not an artist's rendering. It's the actual photo of a hen turkey printed or wrapped on a decoy. So that's kind of a new spin on turkey decoy representation. And then the other one out of here is Apexes TSS, which TSS stands for Tungsten Super Shot and tungsten has kind of been all the rage in the turkey hunting world. Guys are using it in sub gauges. So 20 gages, 28 gauge even 410’s. And TSS is just a heavier metal much heavier than lead. So that allows you to use a smaller pellet size, which gives you more pellets even in those sub gauges. So pretty cool innovation there. And Apex has been loading TSS for a long time there. So it's expensive, though, 42 to 60 bucks a box.

But as is so often the case, you get what you pay for.
