Fly tying on Instagram

Not surprisingly, good friend and fly fishing expert Josh Mills has found something excellent to do. What with all the stay at home orders.

We're all faced with a lot of extra time at home. One thing Instagram has done is it's brought a community of flying tyres together. So we're all around the country and all around the world. And I've been able to since many of the stay at home orders have been put in place. We've been able to organize this nightly flight tying series called Nighttime Vise. So if you go on Instagram and you search hashtag nighttime vise, every night at seven o'clock Pacific, eight o'clock Mountain, at least for the next week or two, we've done it for almost 40 days now. We feature a different fly tying expert who comes on and ties on that feature on Instagram called Instagram Live. And you can watch some really top level tires and you just sit there and watch what they're doing. It allows you to pick up really awesome tricks that I would have never even thought up just slightly. So variations of some of these masters are doing that allow you to go, oh. And it unlocks a whole other realm of fly tying. So, again, every night, 7:00 Pacific, we're doing this thing called nighttime vise. We're going to keep rolling it and as long as the community responds. I'm scheduled out now through the end of this week. But if you look at nighttime vise or if you follow me on Instagram I post a schedule for the week of each person that we're going to feature. Brilliant. And no surprise.
