Chad and halibut 1

I have known Chad Hood since he was born and he turned into a very accomplished outdoorsman which complemented his job with the National Forest Service inasmuch as he was stationed around Juneau, Alaska for several years. One day, he decided to go fishing for coho salmon and…I had a little kayak and paddled out about 30 minutes from the launch area and started trolling. All of a sudden I hooked into what I thought was the tail of a pretty good sized coho but when I reeled it in it turned out to be a 25 pound halibut. I was in a small kayak and didn’t know quite what to do.
