According to the U.S Drought Monitor high elevation areas of Colorado received precipitation this week, while lower elevation locations generally stayed dry. USDA Meteorologist Brady Rippey says there concerns for wheat crops along the Hard Red Winter Wheat belt including Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma. He says it’s due to a combination of drought and some early season cold snaps that didn’t allow the crops to become well established before dormancy
