The Colorado Corn Growers Association and Colorado Corn Administrative Committee has a new executive director. Nick Colglazier most recently served as the director of the Colorado Competitive Council (C3), an affiliate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Colglazier says among his early priorities is an expansion of the Corn Growers Association.

Colglazier:” Colorado Corn Growers Association has about 400 members right now. That is something that we really want to look at in terms of who is participating in our association. We believe that there is a lot of room to grow. Not only grow in terms of corn growers but also in terms of those who support us and support what we do and support the ancillary businesses that allow our farmers to do what they do best. And so there’s a tremendous opportunity for growth here in Colorado and the Colorado Corn Growers Association.”

Colglazier says one thing all corn growers are watching right now is the impending passage of the USMCA trade deal. He says without a trade pact with Canada and Mexico growers in Colorado and around the country have been hurt.

Colglazier has also served with the Colorado Farm Bureau as the regional manager and Director of Public Policy and State Affairs. He farmed in northeast Colorado and southeast Nebraska after graduating from Colorado State University.

Colglazier says it his experience in the ag industry and the business world that has given him knowledge, skills and a unique perspective to make agriculture and specifically the corn growers prosperous for farmers and the state.
