Headquartered in Challis, Idaho, Salmon River Scenic Run is a family oriented floating and fishing outfitter on one of the most beautiful rivers in Idaho, in one of the most beautiful places, Central Idaho.  Salmon River Scenic Run guides on 140 miles of the main Salmon River starting at the upper stretch which begins at Torrey's Hole and ending at Corn Creek, passing the towns of Clayton, Challis, and Salmon on the way to Corn Creek.  I caught up with owner Leigh Redick recently at a sportsman's show in Boise: "we offer steelhead fishing, trout fishing, rafting, both scenic and white water floats, people mostly come in for day trips because we are right along the road so you don't have to go through wilderness. Right now we are hearing for steelhead season, which is March and April and then after that have trout and then steelhead season again in October and November. Our guides have been on the river all their lives and they know where the fish are and how to catch them. We provide boats, gear, lunch for $200 per day per person. S
