The 2018 Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen's Beef Association Trade Show is coming up.

The event will be in Phoenix this year on Jan. 30th and 31st.

The NCBA's Josh White says it's always wise to plan ahead for this event, because it fills up fast.

"I guess there's a sense of urgency in general around convention and and our meeting because the hotels booked up and registration cost for not only Cattlemen's college but also the convention itself go up beginning January the 6th so make sure you get registered in December. go ahead and get that done before Christmas gets you sidetracked and you forget. it's been many years since we've done live animal demonstrations, so it's exciting. this year we are doing at a full track on Wednesday as part of our normal sessions that you can hear about live Mobility scoring of animals and and new research around Mobility scoring in and the genetic influence of cattle mobility and lioness as well as an animal ID and record-keeping. We sort of look at the latest and greatest tools to scan the ID and how that you know can work in a shooter gate situation or and then how that feeds into record-keeping."
