Today we are going to join hands with Sportsmen's Warehouse Sales Associate Keith McDowell and learn a little bit about fishing for walleye. "It is just a game of dragging worm harnesses 1 mile an hour. I find the fish on the grass on the fish finder and just drag those harnesses right through their .7 mph to a mile an hour, maybe even 1.2 although 1.2 mph's is a little fast. Some guys troll little bit faster but I like to go a little bit slower as long as that worm stays off the bottom and we are in that strike zone. They are still a little bit sluggish right now. Another tip is to hold the rod especially when they are biting light and not hanging on real well. The minute you feel that bite you can literally feed it right back to them. That way they are not having to chase it down, it is literally right there where they can chomp on it.
