I had a couple questions about what folks should be using in terms of crank baits if they were going after bass. Got Sportsmen's Warehouse Sales Associate Rob Lengkeek.

"It depends on what reservoir you are fishing. I would probably point them towards perch colored crank baits or maybe even some crawdad colored. This time of the year the brown crawdad is one of the best patterns out there. What about leaving the reservoirs and getting into the lakes? I would look at some rate patterns, may be some shad or bluegill or looking at some of the Kevin Van Dams shads. Probably the 6 to 8 foot range. Ya, I would stick with baitfish or crawfish.

So if you're going by yourself, or with friends or taking the kids out for fishing adventure, take a trip to your nearest Sportsmen's Warehouse and you'll find a very knowledgeable person in the fishing department, for sure.
